When I get email enquiries, there are some that jump out at me, and I instantly know I want to be part of that wedding. When I received an enquiry from Amanda and Tom, I knew this was one of them.
I actually used to go to school with Amanda's sister, which gave us an instant connection and it also felt like we developed a friendship of our own from our first meeting. As we got chatting, we realised out paths had crossed more than we realised with lots of mutual friends & both having a love of horses. We have since sent many messages discussing the Friesian stallions we are going to buy when we are millionaires!
Amanda & Tom got married at Millbridge Court in Surrey, conveniently located between Haslemere and Farnham, which is a venue I have followed since before it opened – I often used to drive past when it was a building site, and have watched with enthusiasm as the shell of a building was transformed into a luxury wedding venue. Externally it has the charm of a small manor house, with the look and grandeur of a barn once inside. It offers the perfect mix of modern and rustic, complemented by exposed oak and countryside views.
Amanda and Tom knew they wanted an understated wedding cake, to tie in with the fun relaxed vibe of their day. We decided upon a 3 tier buttercream wedding cake decorated with freehand swirls (similar to a design they had spotted on my website), which creates pretty shadows & textures on the side of the cake.
They loved all the flavours from their cake tasting, so we used all three in their wedding cake. The bottom tier was a rich chocolate cake, with a traditional Victoria sponge as the middle tier and my super moist spiced carrot cake for the top tier.
Camilla from Camilla’s Creations provided an exquisite selection of flowers for me to work with. Pastel tones of peach & pink, with soft green foliage to compliment the arrays of Spring flowers generously placed around the venue. Topping the cake was a really cute penguin bride & groom - it turns out penguins feature heavily in Amanda & Toms relationship!
Millbridge Court was dressed to perfection by The House of Styling, with hundreds of tealights and coloured jars scattered around the venue. I can only imagine how magical it looked at night once they were all lit and they cut their bespoke wedding cake surrounded by friends and family.
Amanda’s sister used Jonny MP Photography for her wedding a few years ago, so Amanda & Tom knew they wanted him for their wedding too. His work is beyond amazing and it is so exciting to know he has photographed one of my creations – in fact, he has recently been awarded ‘Best Wedding Photographer South-East England’ at The Wedding Industry Awards!

“Regan was recommended to me by my sister, so I contacted her enquiring about a tasting of some of the flavours she offers. We were absolutely blown away by the cupcakes she had made for us; the presentation was beautiful and they looked and tasted incredible!
We booked her for our wedding straight away as we knew she was the right choice for us. Our cake on the day was faultless, exactly what we asked for (3 tier textured buttercream) and it tasted just as amazing as the taster cupcakes. Loads of guests commented on how delicious it was!
We kept a large chunk of the bottom tier (Rich Chocolate) and have cut it up and popped the portions in the freezer to enjoy at a later date :)
Regan herself is also an absolute pleasure to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and she was always so helpful.
